Classes
Q: I’m not flexible / I’ve never done yoga. Can I still come? A: Absolutely. Everything is adaptable — we offer seated, supported, and gentle options. Whether you're recovering from injury, haven’t moved in a while, or just feel unsure, you’ll be met with care and encouragement. You’ll never be pushed — only supported.

Q: I don’t really like yoga... but I still wanted to come. Will I be OK?” A: More than OK — You may be surprised to learn some of our first time guests do in fact say they're not really into yoga when they arrive. But, by the end..? They’re moving in ways they never expected and saying, “I actually loved that.” Our yoga isn’t about perfection or pushing. It’s about presence, support, and how you feel inside. Yoga is much more broad than physical poses and we offer a range of practices for you to experience. The movement elements are varied with floor-free options offered, and you’re always free to skip a session and just be if that's what your body needs. So if you’re yoga-curious (or even yoga-wary), you are exactly the kind of person we designed this retreat for.
Q. I’m not a singer. Will I be expected to sing alone in front of others? A. Not at all. There are no solos and no pressure — just joyful, uplifting group singing. You don’t need experience or a “good” voice. You just need curiosity. Many people surprise themselves and find the vocal work to be the most freeing, confidence-building part of whole week.
Travel
Q: I’m nervous about travelling on my own for the first time A: That’s completely natural — and you’re not alone in feeling that way. In fact, many of our guests are women taking this kind of trip solo for the very first time. It can feel like a big leap — and that’s exactly why we do everything we can to make it feel easy, safe, and welcoming from the moment you book. From your airport pickup to your very first shared meal, you’ll be gently included and looked after. You’ll never be left wondering where to go, who to talk to, or whether you belong — because you absolutely do. We’re known for creating a “family” feel without cliques or pressure. Whether you come alone or with a friend, you’ll leave feeling part of something special.

Q: Can my partner/friend come if they don’t want to join the sessions? A: Of course — we welcome companions! They can relax, enjoy the setting, and join in as much or as little as they like. Just let us know, and we’ll tailor the stay accordingly.
Q. What if something unexpected comes up and I need to cancel? A. We understand life happens. Our cancellation terms & conditions are clearly outlined at checkout, and we always do our best to find an agreeable solution for your circumstances Travel insurance is recommended for added peace of mind.
Dietary & Health Needs
Q. Can you cater for dietary needs or mobility issues? A. Yes, absolutely — and we take this seriously. Before every retreat, we gather detailed information from you so we can tailor meals and experiences to your needs. Whether you’re gluten-free, vegan, have allergies, or follow a medical diet, we work closely with our venue chefs to ensure you’re nourished, not stressed. If you have a health condition that affects mobility, energy levels, or what you’re comfortable doing, just let us know. Our practices are always adaptable — and you’ll never be pushed or singled out. Our goal is for you to feel completely safe, cared for, and included — body, mind, and spirit. You can always book a discovery call with Katie to discuss any concerns before booking.

Q: Is there alcohol? A: We’re not a “dry” retreat. Katie & Marko are not ones to dictate or impose restrictions - your choice is your own. Wine may be served with meals, but everything is optional. We just ask that you are mindful not to go overboard before certain activities.
Q. What happens if I get ill or need medical support during the retreat? A. Your safety and wellbeing are our top priority. We choose our venues with care — not only for beauty and comfort, but for their proximity to medical support, pharmacies, and emergency services. Many of our retreat partners have a doctor on-site or nearby, and we always ensure you’re within easy reach of professional care. Should anything arise, Markos is available 24/7 to assist with transport, accompany you to appointments, and help with any language barriers. You’ll never have to navigate it alone. While it’s rare for issues to arise, we’re fully prepared — and we’ll always prioritise your comfort, dignity, and peace of mind.
Emotional Readiness
Q: What if I get emotional during the retreat? A: That’s completely okay — and totally normal. Our retreats are designed to gently open space for you to feel, process, and be supported. Whether tears come during a sound healing, a quiet moment in nature, or a group circle, you’ll be held with care and without judgement. This is a space where emotion is not only welcome — it’s honoured.

Q: What if I don’t want to participate in certain sessions? A: You are never expected to join anything that doesn’t feel right for you. While we encourage gentle exploration, your autonomy and comfort are always the priority. Rest, reflect, or sit out whenever needed — your retreat, your pace.
Q: Is this retreat suitable for someone going through grief or a major life change? A: Absolutely. Many of our guests come to us during times of transition — loss, career shifts, menopause, empty nest, or simply the sense that something needs to shift. Our practices and environment are created with compassion and emotional safety at the core. You’ll be gently supported, never pushed, and surrounded by kindness every step of the way.
Life on Retreat
Q: Is there free time or is the schedule full? A: Our schedule is designed to nourish you — not overwhelm you. While there are daily opportunities to move, reflect, connect and explore, we intentionally weave in space for rest, solitude, or doing absolutely nothing. We can have an early start so we fit around meal-times comfortably, however the afternoon is yours to follow your own rhythm -whether that’s journaling by the pool or napping in the shade.

Q: Will I have to share a room or bathroom? A: Most of our venues offer a mix of private and shared accommodation options. You can request your preference at booking, and we’ll always do our best to meet it. If you’re travelling solo but open to sharing, we pair guests thoughtfully and respectfully.
Q: Is there Wi-Fi or phone signal at the retreat? A: Yes, most of our venues have reliable Wi-Fi and phone signal. That said, many guests choose to unplug while they’re with us — and we gently encourage it. This is your time to truly switch off and reconnect inward. But you’ll always be reachable if needed, and we’re happy to provide local contact details for loved ones.
Pricing & Inclusions
Q: It sounds amazing but I’m not sure I can justify the cost A. We hear you. This is more than a holiday — it’s an investment in you. What you receive in return is full-board luxury, expert care, personal transformation, and ongoing support. We keep everything included so you’re free to just relax. Many guests say it's the best money they've ever spent on themselves. Payment plans are available, and we’re happy to discuss options with you.

Q. What’s actually included in the price? A. Everything you need to relax, restore and reconnect: Accommodation (shared or private) All meals, snacks, drinks (wine included) Airport transfers from Heraklion Daily yoga, movement, voice & sound practices Workshops Full-time care by Katie & Markos All equipment (no need to bring yoga gear)
Q. Why are your retreats more expensive than others I've seen? A. At first glance, it might seem that way — but here’s what’s different. Unlike many retreats that list a low upfront price but charge extra for meals, transfers, workshops, or 1:1 support, our pricing is transparent, inclusive, and genuinely generous. What’s included: 5-star accommodation (no dorms, no corners cut) All meals, snacks, drinks — including wine with dinner Airport transfers — no taxis or stressful logistics A full programme of yoga, voice, movement and healing work, with more contact time than any other retreat Personal attention from Katie & Markos throughout your stay Optional extras, gifts, and surprises — because details matter We want you to arrive and not need your wallet for anything other than souvenirs. That’s part of what makes the experience feel so restful and nourishing. Many guests tell us it’s not just “worth it” — it’s priceless. We also offer flexible payment plans and are happy to talk things through with you.
Booking & Payments
Q: How do I secure my place? A: Booking is easy — just head to our [Book Now] page and select your retreat. You can reserve your space with a deposit, and we’ll follow up with a confirmation and welcome email within 24 hours.

Q: Do I have to pay in full right away? A: Not at all. You can reserve your spot with a deposit and then choose from flexible payment plan options. At checkout, simply select “manual payment” — this means you agree to complete your payments via direct bank transfer, and allows us to offer multiple pricing plans tailored to your needs. You’re always welcome to message us to discuss the best option for your timing and budget. Prefer to pay by credit card? We can arrange paylinks for instalments via card — just note that this option carries a small processing fee due to website admin costs. We’re here to help make your retreat feel spacious from the moment you book.
Q: What happens if I need to change my dates? A: Our retreats are designed around specific arrival and departure dates, and guests are expected to attend for the full duration. However, we don’t dictate your flights — we want you to find travel that suits your personal needs and budget. If your flights require you to arrive early or leave later, we’re happy to arrange extra nights at the retreat venue, and can include this in your invoice or payment plan. It often works out more relaxing and cost-effective that way. Let us know your travel plans when you book — we’ll be ready to welcome you warmly, whatever time you arrive on Day One.
Rock Choir Guests
Q: Why is it this price? I thought Rock Choir was meant to be inclusive and affordable. A: We completely understand this concern, and it’s something we’ve thought carefully about. Our retreats are designed to be immersive, fully-catered experiences with luxury accommodation, all meals, airport transfers, 24/7 care, and a wide variety of workshops. They’re unlike any regular choir weekend or singing day — this is about giving you deep rest, connection, personal growth, and joyful singing in a truly special setting. To honour the spirit of accessibility, we reduce our retreat prices exclusively for Rock Choir members, offsetting the cost of your annual membership. You’re receiving the exact same high-quality retreat experience as the general public — just at a significantly lower rate, because we know you're already part of our wider community. We also offer flexible payment plans and options to help make it manageable — just reach out. This retreat is for you.

Q: What if I haven’t been a member very long? Should I bring my Rock Choir T-shirt and lyric sheets? A: No need to worry! There’s no dress code and no expectation that you bring a T-shirt — unless we’ve specified it for a photo opportunity or performance, which we’ll always tell you in advance. This is a relaxed, welcoming space where we want you to feel like you — not like you need to perform or keep up. You also don’t need to bring lyric sheets — we’ll provide everything you need, printed and ready. Our singing sessions are designed to be inclusive for everyone, whether you’ve been in Rock Choir for years or just joined this term. In fact, any songs used on retreat will be sensitive to the experience level of the group — if even one guest has only been attending for a short time, we’ll stick to material from that term. We’ll also be teaching a new retreat-only song or songs, unique to your group, to create a special shared experience. These will be taught by ear with plenty of support and no pressure. It’s about joy, not perfection.
Q: What qualifies Katie to lead the singing sessions for Rockies? A: Katie has a deep and personal history with Rock Choir. She spent over 11 years as a Rock Choir leader, founding four new choirs in Kent, and later taking on four others when she was promoted to Regional Brand Manager for the South East. Her time with Rock Choir included calls to frequent radio interviews, performing at the O2 Arena, the NEC, and twice at BBC Proms in the Park at Hyde Park as a privileged member of the Rock Choir Vocal Group. It was during a trip to Disney Land Paris with South-East Rockies that she realised the power of travel and wanted to make it possible for more members to travel in a supported environment. She has always been a passionate ambassador for Rock Choir and knows the ethos, repertoire, and energy that makes it so special. Now living in Greece, she continues to support Rock Choir members’ well-being through her exclusive weekly online Vocal Yoga sessions — created just for Rockies — blending voice care, breath-work, and gentle movement. In addition to her Rock Choir history, Katie is a qualified 500-hour yoga teacher, sound facilitator, wellness-practitioner, and has many years experience helping people reconnect with their breath, voice, and confidence. On retreat, she brings all this expertise together to create singing sessions that are fun, inclusive, and uplifting — with a little added magic for the mind, body, and voice.
